Hi there and happy Pride Month everyone!

Enjoy the June Edition of the Kolibri Games Newsletter. This is where we review the events of the past weeks and keep you updated on recent company and product milestones.

This month offered a lot of opportunities for reflection. We took the international wave of support for the Black Lives Matter and related movements as a call to ourselves to think about how we as a company can take a stronger stand against racism, hatred and discrimination. In addition, this month’s Pride Month celebrations gave us an impulse to further diversity and inclusion at our company. 

Earlier this month, Ubisoft pledged a donation of $100,000 to NAACP and Black Lives Matter. We are incredibly proud to be part of this family. 

Here at Kolibri Games, we established a donation drive that will run throughout the rest of the year, to support national organizations that fight against racism and discrimination in Germany.

We Appeared In

Our CTO Oliver appeared as a guest on the Datenbusiness Podcast with Dr. Bernard Sonnenschein. The two talked about the history of our company, our business model, as well as current data initiatives. 

In addition, the Tagesspiegel portrayed the Kolibri Games founding and success story, based on an interview with our CEO Daniel.

The Kolibri Games Blog 

Over on our blog, our CTO Oliver explained how we are unlocking Idle Miner Tycoon’s full potential by moving towards data-driven decision making with an initiative that we call “Data2020”

We believe that adding a quantitative component to our decision-making processes will help us make the game even better and we are becoming even more player-centric, by further improving our game with information on the behavior of the millions of players who don’t directly reach out to us with feedback. 

In the spirit of this new initiative, our Brand Designer Barry visualized three months worth of event mine data and revealed some interesting insights on how players interact with our game.

Product Updates

This month, our Idle Miner Tycoon Team worked hard on updates to the Mainland, a new Adventure Draw feature that allows players to win powerful prizes and implementing the new soccer-themed season: the Champion Season. 

Kolibri Games Events 

Our Director of Business Development Nate shared some wisdom at digital events and webinars this month

Together with our friends from games:net berlinbrandenburg and DCMN, he spoke about how European game publishers can react to COVID-19.

In an event hosted by JoyPac, he shared insights into monetization strategies for hyper-casual games.
