Enjoy the November Edition of the Kolibri Games Newsletter. This is where we review the events of the past weeks and keep you updated on recent company and product milestones.
Dziękujemy za twoje wsparcie – this month goes out to our Polish players! Idle Miner Tycoon made #1 in the “strategy” category and #5 in the overall top games on iOS in Poland.
In addition, Idle Factory Tycoon celebrates its second birthday this month – we’ve made some major improvements to the game this year and are excited for what’s to come!
We Appeared In
This month, Making Games Magazine featured an article written by Judy, one of our 2D Artists on Idle Factory Tycoon. She shares what a “games-as-a-service” approach means for the work of an artist, the challenges of a simple art style, the importance of communication in agile workflows and much more.
The Kolibri Games Blog
On our blog, Idle Miner Tycoon Product Manager Carsten gave players some tips on how to progress faster in the game, revealing insights about the games’ logic and mechanics. In addition, we celebrated one of our core values – we believe in people – by sharing a video about some of the people we believe in, their Kolibri experience, from the first day at the office to daily life at the company, getting used to life in Berlin, and much more.
In Idle Miner Tycoon, we added a second district to the Impossible Island, introduced a new Super Manager, Santa Claus, and added a whole new set of ancient skills to the research skill tree.
In Idle Factory Tycoon, we introduced a new subscription model, bringing amazing goodies to our players, such as the first-ever Legendary Super Worker, and implemented a long-awaited Cloud Save feature.
This month we kicked off our Kolibri volunteering initiative. We hosted a workshop in collaboration with a local refugee shelter, drawing characters from our games with kids and helping adults write applications and CVs. We had a blast so check back in to see what we’re up to next quarter!
